‘The Mandalorian’ Press Conference Highlights
Entertainment Affair had the chance to attend Lucasfilm's "The Mandalorian" press conference at the Disney+ Global Press Day in Los Angeles, California.
We were lucky enough to watch 27 minutes of footage from the show after which a press conference was held. On the panel were executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, along with cast members Pedro Pascal (“The Mandalorian”), Gina Carano (“Cara Dune”) and Carl Weathers (“Greef Carga”). They talked about what their approach to the show was, the excitement of getting to be a part of the Star Wars universe and the collaborative environment for the directors. It was revealed that Favreau and Filoni worked on the plots together, brainstorming ideas, with Favreau then writing the script.
Jon Favreau spoke specifically about how they want to reward fans that have been with the franchise for a long time, since they were kids. You can expect some Easter Eggs, references to both legends and canon, one of these things that will get referenced is actually the Star Wars holiday special. Watch highlights of the press conference on the video below.
Synopsis: After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
"The Mandalorian" series will stream exclusively on Disney+ when the service launches on November 12.
