The Paley Center for Media hosted an intimate evening on Thursday, September 10^th featuring a special screening of Univision Network's La Banda and a question and answer with the show's executive producer and judge, international music superstar Ricky Martin.  The event was part of the Center's annual celebration of the fall TV season, PaleyFest Fall TV Previews at its Los Angeles location. PaleyFest Fall TV Previews is a weeklong series of premiere screenings and exclusive panels where TV fans go to see the next TV hits first. La Banda will make its highly anticipated debut Sunday, September 13^th at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT) on Univision Network. The music-based reality-competition was developed by Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), Simon Cowell's SYCO Entertainment and Haim Saban's Saban Brands and co-produced with FremantleMedia Latin America.

Among the audience were Sandra Smester, Executive Vice President of Programming, Univision Communications Inc., Gert Verpeet, Executive Producer of La Banda, FremantleMedia Latin America, and Mary Rafferty McCarthy, Senior Vice President, U.S. Consumer Products, Saban Brands.  Additional event attendees consisted of nearly 200 media industry professionals and fans that had the opportunity to ask questions.

The evening began with a special sneak peek screening of La Banda and was followed by a question and answer with Ricky Martin, moderated by Deadline Hollywood's Legal editor and chief TV critic Dominic Patten. During the Q&A, Martin shared details about the show, the first global show of its kind in search of the next Latino Super Group, where fans play an important role in the selection and creation of La Banda. Martin is joined by Grammy award-winning internationally recognized artists Alejandro Sanz and Laura Pausini as judges of the competition. Alejandra Espinoza is the host. The winning band will be managed by Ricky Martin himself and will also have the support of the team behind global superstars One Direction and Fifth Harmony. Ricky starts his One World U.S. and Canada tour on September 15, 2015.
