International singer and songwriter Luis Fonsi, premieres today “LLEGASTE TÚ”, a duet with award winning artist Juan Luis Guerra included in his successful new album titled “8”.

With a perfect fusion of bachata and pop, “LLEGASTE TÚ”, written by Luis Fonsi and Claudia Brant, is one of the most meaningful songs of the album, with lyrics inspired by Fonsi’s family and his two-year old daughter Mikaela:

"I started writing the song with the idea of recording it with one of my favorite artists, Juan Luis Guerra. I sat down with Claudia Brant to look for the right balance between his style and my style that would help blend our voices perfectly”, explained Fonsi. "When we were done, I showed it to him and he loved it so we decided to record it together. This is a collaboration I will never forget, from the moment we started recording it in London, to finishing it in Santo Domingo using 4:40’s percussion, Juan de la Cruz “Chocolate” and Janina on the piano. It was an unforgettable experience for me and obviously very important for the sentimental value that represents."

Last month, "8", produced by Martin Terefe, debuted at #1 in the United States and in nine other countries. The first single “CORAZÓN EN LA MALETA”, became another hit on Fonsi’s successful international career, staying at the top of the charts in multiple countries simultaneously.

The winner of a Latin Grammy Award and five Billboard Latin Music Awards, among others, will continue his busy work schedule which so far, has taken him to countries like Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, Peru and the United States, among others.
