Today is the World Premiere of  "El Aguante", the new musical video of the band Calle 13, filmed last February in Argentina. The video will be in the Internet by 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Calle13VEVO Channel. It is based in a concept developed by René Pérez Joglar "Residente" and Kacho López Mari, who directed it.  The video will be shown for the 1st time during the Press Conference that Calle 13 will hold today, at 4:30 p.m. (CST), in the Ricardo Flores Magón Auditorium, of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), University City.

Through its scenes, "El Aguante" portrays decadence and explores human interiorities amidst a festive ambience, contoured in the context of an Irish bar. During its sequences, protagonists get rid of conventionalisms, and let go of their social marginality, depicting the contradictions of life itself, finding a reason to celebrate, no matter what happens.

The video, also edited by López Mari, was produced by Filmes Zapatero, a Puerto Rican film production company. The song that gave rise to this video, was written and interpreted by René Pérez Joglar "Residente" in a composition by Eduardo Cabra Martínez "Visitante", who is also the musical director and producer.

John Blais, Sound Engineer, recorded the song in Visitante's music studio, Música Satánica. It was launched on February 18th as C-13's first official single, (also part of their new MultiViral album), the first under their own record label, El Abismo, that was released on March 1st of this year. For this song, brothers "Residente" and "Visitante" called-up renown mixer Rich Costey, famous for his work with prominent figures within the music industry such as Sigur Rós, Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters and Audioslave, among many others.

Calle 13 finished the first phase of its MultiViral tour last 29th of March, with a successful performance in front of more than 60,000 people at the Vive Latino Festival in the Foro Sol of the Federal District of Mexico. The Puerto Rican band is getting ready to continue its Latin American tour next April. Subsequently, they will start their MultiViral contagion throughout the United States' tour and shortly after, in Spain this next July.
