“Miss Universe 2013” Comes to Telemundo Direct From Russia and Exclusively in Spanish
For the 12th year in a row, Telemundo presents the exclusive Spanish-language broadcast of the world’s top beauty pageant, Miss Universe 2013, direct from Moscow, Russia on Saturday, November 9 at 8pm/7c. Rashel Díaz and Guad Venegas will host the glamorous event from Moscow’s Crocus City Hall as viewers around the world look forward to the moment when Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe 2012, crowns her successor. The evening will begin with Camino a la Corona (Road to the Crown), a network special hosted by Mónica Noguera that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Latin contestants. On Telemundo.com, fans can vote for their favorite candidate on www.Telemundo.com/MissUniverso/TuFavorita. The winner will be announced during the pageant and move on to the semifinals. Voting closes on Friday, November 8th at 6pm ET.
Rashel and Guad will be on location in Russia bringing Spanish-speaking viewers the world’s premiere beauty pageant “Miss Universe" in their language. In recent years, a succession of Latin American contestants has taken home the crown: Ximena Navarrete (Mexico), Stefanía Fernández and Dayana Mendoza (Venezuela), Zuleyka Rivera (Puerto Rico) and Justine Pasek (Panama). On this magical evening, contestants representing countries around the world will appear before millions of viewers in the famous bathing suit and evening gown competitions, doing their best to charm the judges to be named Miss Universe 2013.
Exclusively on Telemundo, audiences will have the opportunity to see the Latina contestants up close and personal an hour before the start of the pageant on Camino a la Corona, a Telemundo special produced and filmed entirely on location in Russia. During the pre-pageant preparations, Mónica Noguera will have exclusive access to all of the Latina participants, sharing their secrets and ambitions before they take the stage to compete for the coveted honor of being known as the most beautiful woman in the universe. Viewers will get to know the contestants from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain and Venezuela.
In addition to the fan vote, in the days leading up to the pageant, Telemundo.com will also offer a pageant countdown and an interactive special featuring exclusive videos and photo galleries of the pre-pageant events, including the colorful national costume show.
