Alih Jey Debuts "A Mi No Me Interesas" Video on LATV's "En La Zona"
The talented dominican singer songwriter ALIH JEY will debut her newest music video "A Mi No Me Interesas" this coming Thursday, May 9, on LATV's "En La Zona". The show airs at 4pm PST/7pm EST.
The song, the only one in Spanish of her most recent album "TARTE", tells the tale of liberation after ending a romantic relationship. With a sweet and melancholic air, the beautiful voice of the Latin GRAMMY nominated artist, transports itself in the chords of the Hawaiian ukulele, viola and electric guitars, to a voyage of Latin influenced alternative pop.
The video was edited by ALIH JEY herself and was directed by Tiago Riani, an emerging LA director. The creative vision of the video was greatly influenced by Janina, a singer and friend of Alih. Filmed in various locations across Los Angeles, the video simbolizes a new beginning in this great city full of possibilities. In it, Alih strolls through bridges, train tracks and the streets of downtown in an introspective manner, but at the same time connected with the city.
The video also shows clips of Alih in her own apartment with a wine glass, a scene that can be interpreted as a sad one and/or a comic one by being the cliché reaction to a breakup.
With the release of "TARTE" ALIH JEY presented the world with her first English album. But it was unimaginable to her to leave her roots behind. Therefore, the moment has arrived to share with the world this jewel of a song that shines on its own.
Don't miss the debut of "A Mi No Me Interesas" on LATV's "En La Zona" this coming Thursday May 9 at 4pm (PST)/7pm(EST).
