A Stellar International Cast Joins Telemundo’s “El Señor De Los Cielos”
The Network’s Original Production, Inspired by True Events, is Shot Entirely on Location in Mexico and is Slated to Premiere this Spring
Telemundo Network announced the stellar international cast of “El Señor de los Cielos” (The Lord of the Skies), the most ambitions co-production of Telemundo Studios and Caracol TV. Rafael Amaya, star of this original production, is joined by Gabriel Porras, the versatile actor who will be playing Marco Mejía, a police officer specializing in drug trafficking, whose sole mission is to capture the man known as "El Señor de los Cielos," Aurelio Casillas (Amaya). The outstanding international cast also includes Ximena Herrera, Robinson Díaz, Raúl Méndez, Carmen Villalobos, Fernanda Castillo, Sara Corrales, Fernando Solorzano, Arturo Barba, Lisa Owen, Juan Ríos, Angélica Celaya, Marco Pérez, Tommy Vázquez, Fabián Peña, Emmanuel Orenday, Ruy Senderos, Bianca Calderón, Angel Cerlo, Arnoldo Picazzo, Juan Ignacio Aranda, Jorge Zarate and Javier Díaz Dueña.

“El Señor de los Cielos” is a fictional and action-filled story full of raw passion and emotions, untold luxury, suffering, intrigue and suspense. Inspired by true events, the series tells the story of Aurelio Casillas (Rafael Amaya), one of the most prominent Mexican drug lords from the 1990s, whose ambition was to become one of the richest and most powerful men in Mexico. From the moment his photo was published, his face became his biggest stumbling block. The law, as well as his enemies, began to pursue him and he turned to high-risk plastic surgery to conceal his identity.
