Additional Stars Announced for Univision's 'Premio Lo Nuestro' Latin Music Awards

The excitement continues to mount as additional megastars from the Hispanic entertainment world confirm their participation on the 25th Anniversary Edition of Univision’s “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (Lo Nuestro Latin Music Awards). Hosted by celebrated singer/actress Ninel Conde and Mexican musical icon Pedro Fernández, this year’s spectacular “Premio Lo Nuestro” show will bring together today’s top selling Latin recording artists as well as a slew of celebrity presenters to celebrate the award’s 25th birthday, a historic milestone in U.S. Spanish-language television.

The internationally renowned artists most recently added to the list of performers are: tropical fusion duo Chino y Nacho, nominated in three categories; Spanish pop star David Bisbalduranguense music singer Diana Reyes; twice-nominated merengue singer/songwriter Elvis Crespo, who will perform a duo with Panamanian reggaeton sensation Fito Blanko; Regional Mexican music star Gerardo Ortiz, with three nominations this year; renowned  regional Mexican music artist Lupillo Rivera, who will make a special appearance in the night’s emotional tribute to his sister, the late Jenni Rivera; Mexican pop singer and judge on Univision’s popular kids talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” (Little Giants), María José; and famed singer/songwriter Shaila Dúrcal. Previously announced performers include 3BallMTYAlejandro Sanz (who will also receive the coveted Premio a la Excelencia special award for excellence); América Sierra, Carlos Vives, Draco, Jessy & Joy, Juan Luis Guerra, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, OlgaTañón, Pitbull, Prince Royce, Ricky Martin, Romeo, and Thalía.

Numerous high-profile celebrities from the Latin music and television industries have signed on to present awards during the sensational 25th anniversary “Premio Lo Nuestro” celebration. This group of confirmed presenters includes telenovela stars César Évora, JulionGil, Lorena Rojas, Maite Perroni, and Gabriel Soto; actress, singer, former Miss Universe and recent runner-up in Univision’s popular reality/dance competition “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!), Alicia Machado; celebrated Spanish- and English-language television and film actor Cristián de la Fuente; Chilean rock singer/songwriter Beto Cuevas; Tejano music phenomenon Bobby Pulido; popular Colombian singer/songwriter Fanny Lu; award-winning tropical music artist Gilberto Santa Rosa; DJ sensation Juan Magán; Regional Mexican music star Julian Álvarez; breakout teen sensation Leslie Grace; ex-Miss Universe and current judge on Univision’s reality show/beauty contest “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), Lupita Jonesduranguense music super-group Montez de Durangobachata artist and third-season winner of  “¡Mira Quién Baila! ,” Henry Santos; famed Mexican actress and singer Mariana Seoane; salsa star Victor Manuelle; Puerto Rican beauty, actress and former Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera; and Univision celebrities Argelia Atilano, Piolín, Enrique Santos and Chiquinquira Delgado.

“Premio Lo Nuestro” 2013 will feature show-stopping live musical numbers including the long-awaited comebacks of two multiple award-winning artists who have been away from the limelight during the past few years: Colombian singer/songwriter Carlos Vives and novela superstar and singer Thalía, who will debut her new single “Te Perdiste Mi Amor,” featuring bachata idol Prince Royce. In addition, the show will present an emotionally-charged tribute to the beloved regional Mexican music star Jenni Rivera, who passed away last December. Rivera is nominated for five “Premio Lo Nuestro” awards this year and is the artist who received the most awards in the Regional Mexican Female Artist of the Year category in “Premio Lo Nuestro” history.

“Premio Lo Nuestro” 2013 will air on the Univision Network LIVE from Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena on February 21, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central), preceded by a Red Carpet special at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central).
