Taped in South Florida, “Marido en Alquiler” Tells the Fascinating Story of a Woman Determined to Work as a Handyman to Support her Family and Who will Find Love Where She Least Expects it

Telemundo Studios is proud to announce the leading cast of its upcoming coproduction with Globo, “Marido en Alquiler” (Husband for Hire). Juan Soler, Sonya Smith and Maritza Rodriguez will star on this novela full of passion and intrigue, that tells the story of a strong and determined woman who works as a handyman to support her family and who will find love where she least expects it. Globo, the Emmy award-winning and largest producer of telenovelas in the world, and Telemundo Studios join forces for this production to be taped in South Florida with original scripts written by Aguinaldo Silva, creator of the original Brazilian version “Fina Estampa.” The Spanish-language version for Telemundo will be adapted by scriptwriter Perla Farias. The stellar cast and kick-off production will be announced soon.

“Marido en Alquiler” is currently in the final stages of pre-production under the leadership of Guilherme Bokel, Executive Director of International Entertainment for TV Globo in Brazil. This telenovela is overseen by Aurelio Valcarcel, Executive Vice President of Telemundo Studios in Miami, with David Posada as Executive Producer, Aimee Godinez as General Producer and directed by Claudio Callo and Nicolas DiBlasi.
