"Pasión Prohibida" premieres 8 ET/7 CT January 22nd

The TV network Telemundo confirms that the theme song of its new telenovela Pasión Prohibida is an original creation of singer-songwriter and actor Jencarlos Canela, who is represented as a composer by SESAC Latina.

As he sets the plot of this "passionate and intense love story" to music, Jencarlos Canela wears three hats on this project. Not only is he a writer of its theme song "Dime" (Tell Me), he's also its vocalist and the lead actor of the telenovela.

Telemundo premieres Pasión Prohibida at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, Tuesday, January 22, on its affiliates across the United States.

According to a statement from Telemundo, Jencarlos Canela will be joined by a top-notch cast that includes Mónica Spear, Rebeca Jones, Roberto Vander, Mercedes Molto, Henry Zakka, Beatriz Monroy, Rubén Morales and Maricela González.
