Daddy Yankee Premieres New Music Video for "Limbo"
NEW VIDEO FEATURES THE PARTICIPATION OF INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ZUMBA® INSTRUCTORS
Daddy Yankee continues to set the bar higher and higher these days, and his newest music video for Limbo which recently premiered on VEVO is no exception. Filmed in Centro Ceremonial Otomi in the city of Temoaya, Mexico, this will be the 5th music video off his newest album, Prestige which was released early September.
The music video, directed by award winning director, Jessy Terrero makes up part of the worldwide sensation that is Prestige, not just in it's musical quality but as well as the videos which accompany these hits. In this case, Limbo was filmed in an various exotic settings, including historic ruins, forest, and jungle settings in which DY is engulfed in a subculture of men and women overpowered by the sensual and alluring dance of "Limbo".
Director Jessy Terrero, who has previously collaborated with Daddy Yankee on other music videos such as Rompe and Pose, was able to combine the rhythm and lyrics of this song to create a fantasy world around a habitat in which Daddy Yankee emerges, accompanied by a troop of dancers and extras, among them many exquisite models who added to the beauty and marvel of this video.
Internationally recognized Zumba® instructor, Gina Grant lent her participation in a special cameo in the video, also accompanied by her daughters Maliah and Anaya. The idea to incorporate the popular fitness brand into the video was brought upon following Daddy Yankee's participation at this year's International Zumba Convention, and seeing Grant's role as famed instructor within the Zumba community through participation in the brand's ever-so-popular instructional DVDs and video games.
"I wanted Limbo to invite the imagination, ignite creativity, to step away from the norm and bring something completely different. The video, much like the song encourages each person create their own version of the famed dance routine, in a symbolic message meant to represent the need for individuals to interpret the world in their own way. I believe this could be one of the best videos I've done yet." expressed the artist whom was just nominated for a Latin Grammy for his #1 hit, Lovumba.
