CARLOS VIVES CONFIRMS APPEARANCE IN CHILE’S TELETON 2012 SET FOR DECEMBER 1st

“Volví a Nacer”, song that has become an anthem of love and hope amongst fans, continues its unstoppable reign over radio charts in the US and Latin America.  On the heels of its radio success, Vives’ new single recently debuted at the top of digital sales charts.

As the first preview of new material to come from his highly anticipated new studio album Corazón Profundo, the single remains the most played song at radio in Colombia for a second consecutive week and became the most played song this year, only a week after its release to radio there.

“Volví a Nacer” is the most downloaded track on iTunes in Latin America. At just hours of it’s digital release, the single reached #1 in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Dominican Republic, El Salvador and entered the Top 5 in Argentina and Chile. Furthermore, it’s currently the biggest selling Spanish single on iTunes’ US Latin chart in the past week.

The acclaimed hit track’s evolution has couples using the song to declare their love, which in turn has led the official lyric video to surpass 1 million hits on YouTube in less than a week of its release.  “Volví a Nacer” has caused such a massive online revolution that it’s official lyric video, in tandem with its Urban version, set a new YouTube views record by being the first lyric video in its genre to surpass 4 million view at such a short time of it’s release.

“The support that our music has earned has us in La Provincia ecstatic and honored…This gives us the opportunity to return to places where we’ve always been loved”, commented Vives via his Twitter account to his almost 1 million followers who are witness to the biggest return in Latin music this year.

Vives, who’s currently participating as one of the coaches in the vocal competition La Voz Colombia, was invited to the closing festivities of the XVII Publicity Convention in Cartagena last weekend.  More than 1000 guests witnessed the first live performance of his current hit single “Volví a Nacer” and enjoyed a special live performance that previewed a portion of what’s to come in Vives’ 2013 international tour.

In the coming weeks, Carlos Vives will premier the official video for “Volví a Nacer”, and simultaneously will initiate rehearsals for his 2013 Worldwide Tour that is set to take him to the most reknown musical stages in Latin America, US and Europe.  Additionally, Vives is set to initiate his international promotional tour with a performance in Chile’s Teleton on December 1, 2012.
