The biggest stars of Mexican music converged last night at Telemundo’s live broadcast of the 2012 Billboard Mexican Music Awards presented by State Farm™ at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The event honored the albums, songs, most popular singers, labels and publishers of Mexican music according to Billboard Regional Mexican music chart performance. Top honors at the prestigious Mexican music event went to the hottest new music act of the genre 3BallMTY, who received a record breaking nine Billboard Mexican Music Awards, and Norteño music phenomenon, Gerardo Ortiz, who was honored with seven Billboard Mexican Music Awards.
