Academy Award® winner Clint Eastwood and Oscar® nominee Amy Adams, star in Trouble with the Curve, which marks the feature film directorial debut of Eastwood's longtime producing partner Robert Lorenz.

Trouble with the Curve finds Eastwood playing an elderly baseball scout losing his eyesight but determined to remain on the job. Adams co-stars as his lawyer daughter who sacrifices an important moment in her career to accompany her dad on what could be his final scouting assignment.

Entertainment Affair had the opportunity to attend a recent press event in support of the film's release. Eastwood provided a little insight into how he's handling aging and turning over the directing reigns to Lorenz.

At 82 years old, Eastwood proves that he can still carry a movie in a starring role. When asked about the pros and cons of aging he replied, "Am I aging? The pros and the cons...well, you know a lot more, at least until the time you start forgetting it all. So, actually aging can be a fun process to some degree. But ask me a year or so from now and I’ll try to give you the same answer." He still manages to stay in great shape by exercising and playing golf on his spare time on set. “He eats very well too, from my recollection. Salmon and broccoli" added Adams with a smile.

This is Clint Eastwood's first film as an actor for a director other than himself since "In the Line of Fire" in 1993. Eastwood leaves the directing to producing partner Robert Lorenz who makes his feature film directorial debut with this project. "I had to listen to everything he said. [Laughing Actually, he’s terrific, did a terrific job. Rob’s been making noises about wanting to direct for some years now and when this property came along, it was what I wanted to do.”

A fight scene from Eastwood’s 1982 film, Firefox, was cleverly used as a flashback clip. "That was a good piece to use because I’m wearing somewhat the right clothes. It was fine. It was fine. Better than having somebody else do it." he candidly answered when asked about seeing his younger self. His career has spanned for many generations and he is still passionate about it. "It’s just acting gets in your blood after so many years and you just always like revisiting it.”

Perhaps Trouble with the Curve is his last acting role, maybe not. "Hey, you get to a certain age, you’re just glad to be there. I’ve enjoyed the journey to this stage so I intend to enjoy the rest of the journey - a long one, I hope" Eastwood said.

Trouble With The Curve is now playing nationwide!
