Thom Russo is an American record producer, engineer, mixer and songwriter.  His works range from Anglo-American Pop/Rock to Alternative Latin. He is a recipient of 16 Grammy awards (13 Latin Grammys and 3 Grammys), most of them in recognition to his work with Latin music. To date, Thom Russo is the leading recipient of Latin Grammys under the Engineering and Production category.

Over the years he has worked with a variety of well-known artists in both the Latin and Anglo world such as:  Alejandro Sanz (El Tren de los Momentos), Juanes (Fijate Bien, Un Día Normal, Mi Sangre, La Vida... Es Un Ratico), Maná (Drama y Luz, Amar es Combatir),Aterciopelados (Oye), Calle 13, Diego Torres (Distinto), Cristian Castro, Huecco (Assalto, Huecco), Jesse and Joy (Electricidad), La Ley (Libertad), Enrique Iglesias (Enrique Iglesias),and Antonio Carmona in the Latin industry.  On the general market side, Russo has worked with artists such as:  Audioslave (Audioslave, Out of exile, "Like a Stone"), Babyface (For the Cool in You, The Day, A Collection of His Greatest Hits), Tony Bennett (Duets), Bobby Brown (Bobby), Cher (Greatest Hits 1965-1992), Diana Ross (Take Me Higher), Eric Clapton(Change The World), Faith Evans (A Faithful Christmas, Keep the Faith), Jay-Z (99 Problems), Jonny Cash (American IV: The Man Comes Around), Lili Haydn (Place Between Places), Macy Gray (The Id, The Trouble with Being Myself, The Very Best of Macy Gray),Michael Jackson (Dangerous), Paula Abdul (Head Over Heels), and System of a Down.

For the 2012 Latin Grammys, Russo is up for an astounding seven nominations including: Producer of the Year, Best Engineered Album for 'Dame Vida' (Huecco) and 'Buscamos Sonrisas' (El Sueño de Morfeo), Record of the Year for 'Dame Vida' (Huecco) and 'Buscamos Sonrisas' (El Sueño de Morfeo), and Album of the Year for 'Dame Vida' (Huecco) and 'Buscamos Sonrisas' (El Sueño de Morfeo).

As a reminder to all members of the Academy, ballots for the Latin Grammy preliminary ballot are due next Tuesday August 28, 2012.
