Action Packed Show Premieres Wednesday, August 15 at 10:00PM (ET/PT)

nuvoTV launches FIGHT FACTORY with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, August 15 at 10:00 PM (ET/PT). Offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of America’s fastest growing sports, mixed martial arts (MMA), the series showcases two of the country’s best MMA gyms: San Jose’s American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) and Fresno’s Dethrone Base Camp. Viewers will experience a rare look at the preparation and dedication it takes to become a champion fighter and world title holder.

The original reality series takes fans inside champion-making coach Javier Mendez’s AKA, providing an exclusive look at the legendary Mexican-American kickboxer’s current roster of MMA superstars, including former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, current Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and multiple-title-takers Jon Fitch, Phil Baroni, Luke Rockhold and more.

Fight Factory also hits the mat inside MMA fighter Josh Koscheck’s Dethrone training gym and offers candid insight from two of the biggest names behind the MMA phenomenon, renowned manager DeWayne Zinkin and undefeated fighter turned coach Bob Cook.

Viewers will witness the drama unfold between former UFC welterweight number one contender Koscheck and his long-time coach Mendez, including his ugly departure from AKA. Fight Factory also chronicles Cain’s rocky road to MMA stardom and what AKA and Javier contributed to making him the champion he is today.

“Our viewers are true fans of MMA, and we want to take them deep inside the lives of some of the world’s toughest fighters to show them the strength and dedication it takes to become a successful mixed martial artist,” said Maria Perez-Brown, nuvoTV’s SVP Programming. “They identify with Cain Velasquez’s experience as the first Mexican-American champ to take a UFC heavyweight title and now they will get the opportunity to see how he got there.”
