"Las Cosas Pequeñas" ("The Little Things") is the highly anticipated first single off Royce'ssecond bachata álbum "Phase II", which drops on April 10th. Just a week after it's radio release, the song is already a hit, debuting at # 1 on the tropical songs chart and # 4 on the Latin music chart (across all genres) in the United States & Puerto Rico according to Mediabase and Billboard.
Directed by Carlos Perez of Elastic People, the video for "Las Cosas Pequeñas" was shot at Central Park in New York City, where the young Dominican-American singer-songwriter was born and raised.
"I wanted to make this video in Central Park because it is a magical place where I have enjoyed many meaningful moments, from visiting there with my family as a child to writing songs by the lake and even filming my first video. This single is about the little moments or things that have the greatest significance in our lives and the park seemed like the perfect place for the video,"said Royce.
After scoring with four hit singles on his self-titled debut álbum (March 2010), "Stand By Me", "Corazón Sin Cara", "El Amor Que Perdimos" and "Mi Ultima Carta", and two top-knotch hit collaboration tracks, "El Verdadero Amor Perdona" alongside Maná, and "Ven Conmigo" with Daddy Yankee, the brand new single marks the start of a new phase for the artist who reached triple platinum status in the US and Puerto Rico.
Royce closed 2011 having garnered eleven #1s on Billboard's Year End Charts, including: #1 Latin Album of the Year; #1 Hot Latin Song of the Year (for Corazón Sin Cara), #1 Top Latin Artist - Male; and #1 Hot Latin Songwriter of the Year. With his debut album, he has been certified triple platinum in the US and Puerto Rico and has received four 2011 Latin Billboard Awards; three 2011 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards; four 2011 Premios Juventud Awards and two Latin GRAMMY nominations (2010 & 2011).
Prince Royce is signed to Top Stop Music, an independent boutique record label and management firm founded by Gregory Elias and Sergio George.
