Singer and composer, LUIS FONSI, celebrated a monumental weekend with two sold-out concerts of his Tierra Firme tour at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in his native Puerto Rico. Thousands of fans filled the arena to capacity on Friday and Saturday night staying on their feet throughout the artist’s spectacular performance.

The artist surpassed all expectations of the jubilant public in attendance with his hits including “Llueve por dentro”, “Se supone”, “No me doy por vencido” and songs from his new album “Tierra Firme” such as “Respira” and “Gritar”, songs that have propelled his successful tour throughout Latin America. Surrounded by a spectacular backdrop of pulsating lights, Fonsi was joined onstage by his band comprised of top-level musicians and his dynamic crew of dancers which showcased their skills against the one-of-a-kind stage which dazzled with special effects. The artist stepped onto the stage with a spectacular cinematic entrance and later surprised the capacity crowd during his performance of “Llueve por dentro” when a dancer was lowered from the arena’s roof in a cylinder filled with water.

The night also had a special intimate session when Fonsi moved to the center of arena amongst his fans and performed various songs accompanied by his guitar and joined by the chorus of the public who sang along to each one of his songs. Another majestic moment came when he was joined onstage by the Spanish singer-songwriter Antonio Orozco who arrived to Puerto Rico from Mexico specifically to join Fonsi on stage to perform “Ya Lo Sabes”, their hit duet which reached the top of the radio charts.

Luis Fonsi ended both nights with his new hit “Claridad”, the third single from his most recent release “Tierra Firme”, a song whose energetic rhythms brought everyone in attendance to their feet and brought the events to a close. The epic concerts included the musical direction of Ito Serrano, the dazzling choreography of Danny Lugo and the impeccable production of Tony Mojena.

Fonsi released “Claridad,” the third single from his hit album “Tierra Firme” on Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro 2011, which will take place on Thursday, February 16 at 8pm.
