Adriana Fonseca Signs Exclusivity Contract with Telemundo
The beautiful and renowned Mexican actress Adriana Fonseca signed an exclusive contract with Telemundo to star in original prime time novela productions.
Adriana has established an impressive artistic resume in the world of telenovelas as well as in theatre and films. "It is a great honor to have Adriana joining Telemundo, offering the best of her talent. Her signing with Telemundo is a powerful demonstration of our commitment to bring well-known figures from the Hispanic TV market to the screen," stated Joshua Mintz, SEVP of Telemundo Entertainment.
Born in Veracruz, México, Adriana Fonseca began her career at the age of 16, when she was named the face of El Heraldo de México, a prestigious newspaper. This beauty competition recognizes and promotes young stars, having previously bestowed this honor on celebrities such as Verónica Castro, Lucia Méndez and singer Ana Bárbara, among others.
“This is a dream that came true. I love what Telemundo does, their stories and how they direct them. I believe in the law of attraction, I visualized myself here and I wanted to be here [Telemundo],” said Adriana in regards to Telemundo.
She made her Mexican television debut playing Jovita Ruán in Televisa’s telenovela “Pueblo Chico, Infierno Grande,” and three years later won her first co-starring role in the telenovela “Rosalinda” with Thalía and Fernando Colunga. Since then, she has participated in over a dozen television dramas and series.
She also entered in the theatrical world in “Mamá nos quita los novios,” with Angélica María and Julio Alemán. Her greatest professional challenge has been combining her dancing, singing and acting skills in the musical “Aventurera,” where she garnered the audience’s respect and applause. Recently she starred in “Divorciémonos, mi amor” with Sebastian Rulli and Manuel Landeta, a play which was very successful in Mexico in 2011.
Adriana also appeared in Mexican cinema with films such as “La Tregua,” “Por Mujeres Como Tú,” “7 Mujeres, 1 homosexual y Carlos” and “Por tu Culpa,” always garnering positive reviews for her performances.
