Willy Chirino Premieres "Yellow Submarine"

by EAStaff | October 18, 2011

The creator of the Miami Sound blended his inimitable rhythm with the legendary sound of the Beatles to produce "Yellow Submarine", the first single from his new CD, My Beatles Heart. Starting today, Willy Chirino fans as well as Beatles followers will be able to enjoy the video which the Cuban singer-composer has called "the best of my career".

The music video was filmed in Miami in August and was directed by José Sargaro. Using a style reminiscent of the sixties' psychedelic culture, the video features the best of both worlds: the Caribbean flavor of Chirino and the iconic sound of the most famous rock band in history. With the participation of more than a dozen dancers, state-of-the-art cinematic techniques were used blending animation and live action with dynamic and exciting results.

The concept of My Beatles Heart has captured the attention of music fans and has received the best reviews from specialized critics. El Nuevo Herald/Miami Herald wrote: "What perhaps started as a pet project, difficult to pin down, has turned out as a magnificent musical product which serves multiple purposes. It serves as a tribute and a personal achievement. A dream come true."

"I have always been a great fan of Beatles music. Without doubt, time will judge them as the greatest rock band of all time. I recorded this album with great respect and I hope I did justice to their music", said Chirino.

The CD includes classics such as, "All You Need Is Love", "Because", "Blackbird", "Across the Universe", "Here Comes the Sun", "Drive My Car" and of course, "Yellow Submarine".

My Beatles Heart is on sale through Internet, in record stores and through digital downloads.
